The Importance Of Taqiyyah

Image
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Graceful, Oh Allah, send peace and blessings upon our beloved Prophet and Messenger Muhammad, as well as upon his purified Household. May Your damnation be upon all of their enemies, for they are Yours too. Introduction For centuries, the concept of taqiyyah (التقية) has been subject of criticism from non-Shias, either due to their lack of understanding of the concept or due to their aim to criticise anything different from the majority in Ahl al-Tashayyu. Taqiyyah means dissimulation, to say or show outwardly something different from what the individual believes internally. This is not something that can be used at any moment, as it has been argued against us. But rather, it is for special cases where our lives or our religion might be threatened. A Shi’a cannot and must not deny this concept, for it has been mentioned several times by the Holy Imams of the Pure Household of our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon them all). In the Q

May Your damnation be upon all of their enemies, for they are Yours too. Introduction Tasawwuf, Sufiyya or Sufism is a well known and influential interpretation of Islam. Is not a unified community, but rather a number of sects that have in common an esoteric, mystic and/or ascetic approach. Most Sufi tariqas come from ‘Sunnism’ (Naqshabandi, Tijani, etc), however there are some that inherited from Shia Islam (Bektashi, Ni’matullahi, etc). Sufism has also played an important role in the concept of Irfan, or “Islamic mysticism”, introduced by some Shi’i scholars. Our Imams (peace be upon them) have severely condemned Sufis, may Allah’s curse be upon them, and the proof is shown in the following article. Introduction In relatively recent times we have seen a growing tendency where some Shias have claimed that the government can be held by our own scholars during the Major Age of Occultation. This is not only an innovation but it is forbidden according to our narrations, some of which will be presented here. Evidence from the Ahadith Muhammad Ibn Al-Hassan al-Tatri has narrated from those he has mentioned in his book: from Ali Ibn Al-Nu’man from Suwayd a

May Your damnation be upon all of their enemies, for they are Yours too. Introduction It is now a widespread tradition and an established obligation for every Muslim not only in the Bakri community, but also in the Shi’a, to perform the Jumu’ah prayer in congregation. However, it was not like this for all of the history of Ahl al-Tashayyu. In fact, many narrations prove the prohibition on the Jumu’ah prayer, as well as the example of the scholars during the first centuries of the Major Occulation. According to the narrations of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) وعن امير المؤمنين عليه السلام إنه  قال: لا يصلح الحكم ولا الحدود ولا الجمعة إلا بامام عدل Amir al-Mumineen (peace be upon him) said: “ Neither rulings, punishments or Friday prayers are permissible except with a just Imam ”.
