Is not a unified community, but rather a number of sects that have in common an esoteric, mystic and/or ascetic approach. Most Sufi tariqas come from ‘Sunnism’ (Naqshabandi, Tijani, etc), however there are some that inherited from Shia Islam (Bektashi, Ni’matullahi, etc). Sufism has also played an important role in the concept of Irfan, or “Islamic mysticism”, introduced by some Shi’i scholars. Our Imams (peace be upon them) have severely condemned Sufis, may Allah’s curse be upon them, and the proof is shown in the following article. Introduction It is now a widespread tradition and an established obligation for every Muslim not only in the Bakri community, but also in the Shi’a, to perform the Jumu’ah prayer in congregation.
